Student Support Services
Position: 1.0 FTE Bridge Program Teacher.
Location: Shuswap Middle School.
Assignment: Temporary assignment effective September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
The teacher will provide a combined educational and social emotional support for students with complex behavioral challenges who have received level 1 and level 2 supports/interventions and require more significant supports. The aim of the ISP is to support students in the acquisition of lagging skills and strategies enabling them to successfully function in a regular classroom setting. The teacher must develop highly individualized programs for students and effectively collaborate with parents and staff to support student needs.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Special Education or current registration in program; and/or a degree in counselling or social work.
