0.80 FTE Continuing – Elementary Counsellor with Teaching Certificate (#6A)

The successful candidate

will have the following qualifications: Master's degree in Counselling; recent successful teaching experience at the elementary level, and recent successful experience as a school counsellor at the elementary level; understanding of Indigenous ways of knowing and being, including First Peoples' Principles of Learning; knowledge and experience working with students with exceptionalities; training and experience in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention, Threat Assessment, Crisis Response and Suicide Risk Assessment; successful experience liaising with parents, school-based teams, external agencies, and community-based professionals and coordinating SEL interventions using a multi- agency approach; strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills; and ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergent situations throughout the District and north island communities; This position requires travel; therefore, a reliable...
